Tell us all about it

Let your dust settle, take a hot bath or two or three, sigh happily, then tell us all about your Hookan experience.

I'll start: being a part of this camp is hard. There is so much work to do in order to run the camp for a few days. Some of you know that the dome took some damage during Sunday's windstorm. It was a heartbreaker at the time. It also pulled the camp together and everyone doubled their efforts in fixing what had broken. We lost a whole day and opened Tuesday night.
And then it all became worth it. When I sat in the dome with my old friends and my new friends, I couldn't help but feel proud of all this group had accomplished. Outside was heat and craziness. Inside was sensuous tranquillity. The spin jam and hoop down was brilliant and I want to thank all the dancers and DJs who helped bring it alive.
I'm happy that the hookahs blazed the coolest and tastiest smokes ever. I'm no expert with professional/retail hookah lounges in the real world, but I have never felt the need to - my experience with my camp and friends is enough. I have a feeling, though, that we provide "good value for money."
The bottom line is that this year I feel drained, but very accomplished. Cheers, everyone.

Thanks so much to all Hookahdomers!

I very much appreciate your hospitality, your energy, your focus, and that you provided such a beautiful and comfortable place for so many (including me) in the playa.

At some point, I'd like to return the favor.

One of my experiences there was when I really needed a place to relax. I was a bit overloaded (or more). The environment was so relaxed, but also interesting with the personal entertainment of yoga poi dancing and more.

Another treat was (Wednesday or Thursday) outside. What an amazing experience of firedancing. Incredible. Great energy. It was beautiful!

So, thanks again. Thanks for all of the beautiful memories and experiences.

My experiences at the HD were always beautiful blissful and filled with wonderful friends old and new sharing smoke and dance. I danced a few nights both with fire outside the night of the temple burn and bellydanced inside solo, with my dance partner Serene the night of the burn and with many other goddess dancers. It was always hard to leave the relaxed vibe and the amazing hospitality. Thank you thank you thank you Hookahdome Family! Oh and I can't forget to mention the majick carpet...keep it flying and booming the funky desert beats! I love riding on the playa on a majick carpet....just wish I could stand up and dance through the storms with somethin' to hang on to...it was so entrancing.....

OK - so I finally found time to describe my Playa Hookah experience. Better late than never.... so here it is.

My funnest night at BM this year was Friday. After getting down to the Space Cowboys and taking in the beauty (and warmth) of the Flaming Lotus Girls project at the 'Ho Down' I wandered off to Pangea and danced some more and met some wonderful people. Then while drifting across the Playa at dawn along comes the Flying Hookah Carpet. I ran and jumped on but the London-town girl I had just met was tired (lazy?) and made the Rug come around twice to pick her up. The next several hours were hysterical. Raiding camps for more booze; taking out one of those big street rebar stakes (BAM! - oops!); driving up to Dickie and giving him a courtesy wake up call with a dozen asses on his windows (he just shrugged and went back to sleep); some serious spankings (that Kitty girl nearly spanked my ass off!); being tackled and pinned by the Cowgirl in Black (you can tackle me again anytime!); another accident as we nearly demolished the Mothra art car (damn, that rug is wide!); swinging (on swings); pole dancing; and all the while dancing like fools to a great medley of tunes. I'd like to thank the driver (great coat!) and everyone else there for making my night. Even though I was only wearing a black fur g-string and furry black boots I had to bail out when I could no longer take the rapidly rising temperature.

My experience inspired me to attend your Hookahdome party. What a fabulous and loving group of people. Beautiful! :-)
